Agreement
This End-User Licence Agreement (“EULA”) is a legal agreement between you and deckstr (“we”, “our”, “us”) for the use of the deckstr mobile application (“the App”).
By downloading, installing, or using the App, you agree to be bound by this EULA. If you do not agree, do not use the App.
Licence Grant
We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the App on devices you own or control, solely for your personal, non-commercial purposes, subject to these terms and any applicable App Store or Play Store terms.
Restrictions
You may not:
- Copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works of the App
- Reverse-engineer, decompile, disassemble, or attempt to extract the source code of the App
- Rent, lease, lend, sell, sublicence, or transfer the App or your account to any third party
- Use the App for any unlawful or prohibited purpose
- Remove, alter, or obscure any proprietary notices in the App
- Use automated tools, bots, or scrapers to access the App
- Circumvent rate limits, usage restrictions, or security measures
AI-Generated Content
The App uses artificial intelligence to generate flashcard content. AI-generated content is provided “as is” for personal study purposes only. It may contain errors, inaccuracies, or outdated information. You should not rely on it as an authoritative source. For more detail, see our AI Safety page.
In-App Purchases
The App offers optional in-app purchases, including a one-time Standard purchase and recurring Premium subscriptions. All payments are processed through Apple App Store or Google Play Store. We do not process or store your payment details. Pricing, billing, auto-renewal, cancellation, and refund terms are described in our Terms of Service.
Intellectual Property
The App, including its name, logo, design, code, and content (excluding user-submitted topics and AI-generated output), is the intellectual property of deckstr. This EULA does not grant you any ownership rights in the App.
Open-source components used in the App are subject to their respective licences.
Account and Termination
You may stop using the App and delete your account at any time via Settings > Delete Account in the App, or by emailing [email protected]. See our Support page for details.
We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate this EULA or our Terms of Service.
Upon termination, your licence to use the App ends immediately.
Disclaimer of Warranties
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the App is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
We do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components, or that AI-generated content will be accurate, complete, or suitable for any specific purpose.
Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law:
- We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the App.
- Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid for the App in the 12 months preceding the claim.
- We are not responsible for any loss resulting from reliance on AI-generated content.
Third-Party Terms
The App may use third-party services. Your use of those services is subject to their respective terms and privacy policies. See our Privacy Policy for a list of third-party services we use.
Changes to This EULA
We may update this EULA from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes through the App or by updating the “Last updated” date above. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated EULA.
Governing Law
This EULA is governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
